Online | 22 June 2026 | Benchmarking Session 3

ITPC Sydney presentation on Australian market opportunities and export readiness.
FUSION’s third online benchmarking session, held on 22 June 2026, shifted the discussion from business foundations to international market opportunities. The session recorded 38 participants and focused on what Indonesian MSMEs need to consider when preparing to enter overseas markets, particularly Australia.
Marhaley Sartiko, Vice Head of ITPC Sydney, presented an overview of Australian market characteristics, consumer trends and potential opportunities for Indonesian products. The discussion covered high regulatory standards, demand for premium, sustainable and ethnic products, and practical market-entry pathways through distributors, business matching, trade exhibitions and digital promotion. Participants were also introduced to ITPC Sydney services such as market intelligence, buyer identification, export promotion and business facilitation.
Daffa Manggala Putra from PT Ernawa Teknokultur Biru complemented the market perspective with an MSME experience. He shared Ernawa’s journey in developing an integrated seafood business, strengthening its supply network and working with exporters serving international markets. The example highlighted the importance of product quality, production capacity, reliable supply chains and certification in building export readiness.
Participants then explored practical questions about Australia, including market segmentation, branding, certification, distribution channels and export documentation. The discussion reinforced that export readiness involves more than having a competitive product; businesses also need to understand the target market and prepare the systems and documentation required to enter it.
After the formal session, three selected MSMEs—PT Ernawa Teknokultur Biru, PT Enviro Misi Global and LPI Group—joined one-on-one consultations with ITPC Sydney for more tailored feedback on product positioning, market opportunities and export preparation.
