The FUSION programme helps MSMEs strengthen their business capacity so they are ready to participate in the food supply chain, including within the Free Nutritious Meals ecosystem. Through training, business mentoring, and business partnership facilitation, the programme creates opportunities for MSMEs to connect with broader markets.

MSME Capacity Strengthening

The FUSION programme provides training to help MSMEs strengthen their business capacity. The materials cover business management, bookkeeping, food safety standards, good production practices, and the use of digital tools to support business development.

Business Mentoring and Development

Programme participants receive mentoring from experts and practitioners to help apply the training outcomes in their business operations. This mentoring aims to improve production efficiency, strengthen business management, and enhance MSME readiness to participate in the food supply chain.

Market Access and Business Partnerships

The programme facilitates connections between MSMEs and buyers, business partners, and supporting institutions within the food ecosystem. Activities include market linkages and business matching to create partnership opportunities and expand market access for MSMEs.

The FUSION programme helps MSMEs strengthen their business capacity so they are better prepared to participate in the food supply chain. Through training, mentoring, and connections with business partners, the programme creates opportunities for MSMEs to expand their markets and strengthen their business competitiveness.

Business Capacity Building

MSMEs receive intensive training over several months to strengthen business management, bookkeeping, and understanding of production and food safety standards.

Business Mentoring

Participants receive mentoring from practitioners and experts to help apply business strategies and improve operational efficiency.

Market Access

The programme facilitates connections between MSMEs and buyers, business partners, and supporting institutions within the food ecosystem, including opportunities in the Free Nutritious Meals programme supply chain.

Programme Overview in Numbers

A total of 22 MSMEs from the food supply chain sector in West Java will participate in the training programme, business mentoring, and business partnership facilitation.

-- Target Participants

The FUSION programme will be implemented over approximately six months to test a model for strengthening MSME capacity and integrating MSMEs into the food supply chain ecosystem.

-- Programme Duration

The programme targets at least 40 percent participation from women-owned businesses or businesses owned by vulnerable groups as part of its GEDSI approach.
