FUSION began its capacity building phase with a two-day in-person workshop in Bandung on 15–16 April 2026, bringing participating MSMEs together to strengthen the business foundations needed to engage with institutional and B2B markets. The workshop formed the first part of a broader training journey that combined face-to-face learning with later online technical sessions.
The first day focused on business mindset transformation and B2B readiness. Participants examined how institutional markets differ from conventional retail markets and were introduced to the 3K principle of Quality, Quantity and Continuity as a core benchmark for supplying the MBG ecosystem. The discussion placed particular emphasis on reliability, professionalism and longer-term business planning.
The second day moved further into business operations, financial management, contract negotiation and business digitalisation. Participants worked on cost structures, HPP calculations, pricing and margins, cash-flow management, contract risks and product positioning. A practical component involved the development of digital product catalogues containing information such as product specifications, pricing, production capacity, certifications and business profiles.
The training used presentations, facilitated discussions, case studies, practical exercises, business simulations and peer learning rather than relying on lecture-based delivery alone. Attendance records show that 22 of 27 registered participants attended Day 1, while 16 of 27 attended Day 2.
By the end of the Bandung workshop, participants had begun producing practical outputs including business readiness reflections, financial planning exercises, initial HPP calculations, pricing simulations and draft digital catalogues. These outputs were intended to feed into later technical training and individual mentoring, where each MSME would continue translating learning into operational improvements.
