Bandung | 15–16 April 2026 | Field visit during the in-person workshop

For participating MSMEs, understanding institutional procurement required more than classroom discussion. During the Bandung capacity building phase, FUSION therefore included a field visit to SPPG Al Kashaf, where participants could observe how an institutional food-service operation functions in practice.
The visit connected the training material with the operational realities of the MBG ecosystem. According to the Activity 3 report, participants gained direct exposure to procurement workflows, kitchen operations, supply coordination, quality-control mechanisms and food-safety implementation. These are areas that become particularly important when a small business moves from conventional consumer markets into structured institutional supply.
The field exposure also helped participants place the 3K principle of Quality, Quantity and Continuity into a concrete setting. Serving an institutional buyer requires not only a good product, but also the ability to maintain standards, deliver the required volume and keep supply consistent over time. Observing an operating SPPG gave participants a reference point for assessing their own systems and identifying where additional preparation could be required.
The field visit was embedded within a broader experiential learning approach. FUSION combined presentations and technical discussion with case studies, practical exercises, reflection and direct observation so that participants could connect concepts with their own business conditions.
For MSMEs preparing to engage with MBG and other institutional markets, the visit provided a practical bridge between knowing what buyers expect and seeing how those expectations are reflected in day-to-day operations.
